THE CHANGING ROLE OF AMERICAN ASSERTION: Mars turning Retrograde in the U.S. Progressed Chart

As temporary food for thought, those of us in astrology need to contemplate what the meaning may be of the U.S. MARS changing into RETROGRADE motion in the Progressed chart of the July 4, 1776 U.S. chart (whichever hour you choose to use for the Declaration of Independence chart). MARS has been at 18 degrees of LIBRA for several years and actually changes direction in the next couple of years, and will remain in that same degree for a number of years into the future.

How are we changing our "Mars" energy, the uses of our self assertion and the ways in which we go about getting what we want?

What is additionally fascinating is that the degree of the MARS RETROGRADE is at the same degree as JUPITER in the chart of President Bush. (view chart). It is during his watch that this MARS RETROGRADE is occurring. This is another indication of why he is the President at this time in history.

While MARS RETROGRADE could have many meanings, not all of them desirable, we can at least ruminate that MARS in the sign of Libra can indicate a continuing effort for diplomatic and peaceful solutions through diplomacy, even though that may not currently seem so apparent.
