CONSPIRACY AND CONFUSION
Neptune's influence on American life
What
has happened to America? We thought ourselves the safest and
most democratic country in the world. Now, we are doubted
abroad and divided at home. The influence of NEPTUNE on the
charts of both the USA (view chart) and President Bush (view
chart) describe this period of conspiracy and confusion in
American life.
NEPTUNE
has been lingering on the MIDHEAVEN (public image and reputation)
of the USA, showing increasing uncertainty about our self
image and our role in the world.
NEPTUNE
has also been lingering on a critical area of President Bush's
chart since the attacks of Sep. 11, 2001. This area of his
chart is the 7th house, which relates to alliances, partnerships
and enemies.
George
Bush was born on July 6th, only two days July 4th, the day
we celebrate our Independence. Therefore, astrological indicators
affecting one chart will closely parallel the effects on the
other chart. President Bush is, from a cosmic and actual point
of view, the man of our times. He represents America, though
that is stoutly denied by many who questioned his legitimacy
from the 2000 Elections.
NEPTUNE,
which has been in the sign of AQUARIUS for several years,
has been increasingly affecting both charts. It's unclear
who are our enemies and who are our true allies. This "Neptunian
Fog" is dissolving the clarity of our identity and confidence.
Yet NEPTUNE, as the planet of idealism, brings inspirations
and visions..
Can we
continue to trust our society's structures such as large corporations
and religious institutions? Is Bush's grand vision for democracy
in the Middle East more than a mirage? What is the true definition
of "marriage"? What is the future role of USA in
global affairs?
NEPTUNE
represents limitless boundaries. We are a country of immigrants
but now we fear that our porous borders make us vulnerable
to invisible forces such as individual terrorists, or insidious
biological agents.
In spite
of these confusing times, we search and cling to the faith
that our ideals will help us create a better future for ourselves
and our children.
