ISRAEL, Part II
Ties to the U.S.
This
article is a continuation of “Israel:
Lynchpin for the Middle East” written on Jan 20.
In that article, we discussed the meaning of SATURN transiting
through the sign of LEO, a time when Israel will be redefining
its borders and limitations. SATURN in the sign of LEO is
also considered a time when major leaders fall or rise. Because
of Sharon’s stroke and incapacitation, Ehud Olmert has
become the acting Prime Minister.
On April
4th, SATURN stationed on Israel’s MOON at 4 degrees
LEO. The MOON represents the people of the country and SATURN
represents a time of reckoning. This period of reckoning will
continue for the duration of SATURN’S transit through
LEO (summer of 2005 through November of 2007). Furthermore,
SATURN will be in the 10th house of Israel’s chart which
represents its public image and reputation before the world.
The charts
of Israel (view chart)
and the U.S. (view chart)
show the deep connections between the two nations. It is considered
inconceivable that the U.S. would ever abandon Israel. Every
politician, whether Republican or Democrat, is highly sensitive
to the Israeli lobby know as AIPAC (American Israel Public
Action Committee), whose money can make or break them. A recent
carefully researched but controversial article emphasized
the ability of the Israeli lobby to influence American politics.
The U.S.
is committed to support its ally, Israel, and yet it is the
very fact of Israel’s existence that continues to inflame
Arab and Middle Eastern wrath. With increasing tension over
Iranian nuclear capabilities, President Ahmadinejad of Iran
recently reiterated that Israel should be eliminated and “wiped
off the map”.
One connection
illustrates American support and largesse: the U.S. JUPITER
at 5 CANCER (view chart) conjoins
Israel’s VENUS at 4 CANCER (view
chart). The generosity of JUPITER is bestowed on Israel
in terms of financial and political support. The U.S. has
given billions and billions of dollars to support Israel.
The U.S. continues to give Israel far more foreign aid than
any other country, as much as one third of U.S. yearly foreign
aid.
Another
connection between Israel and the U.S. can be seen by the
studying the U.S. Inaugural chart (view
chart) which illustrates that whichever party wins the
Presidency, our policy towards Israel is likely to remain
the same.
The U.S.
Inaugural MIDHEAVEN at 26 CAPRICORN conjoins Israel’s
4th cusp (its land and roots). In turn, Israel’s MIDHEAVEN
conjoins the U.S. Inaugural 4th cusp. Again, whichever party
is voted into power, the connection with Israel is a very
strong one. As the U.S. Inauguration is always at noon on
January 20th, this relationship will always apply.
The next
few years may prove to be especially contentious in international
affairs but it appears that the connection between Israel
and the U.S. will remain as strong as ever.
