JOHN BOLTON TO U.N.?
Controversial Diplomat

John Bolton (view chart) is President Bush's nomination to be the next U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. It is easy to see in his astrological chart why he has seriously aggravated so many people.

Bolton was born in Baltimore on November 20, 1948 (time unknown). It is unusual to see such obvious indicators of a stress-inducing personality. This is not the chart of a tactful person.

He has his SUN in the emotionally intense sign of SCORPIO in a kind of difficult aspect (QUINCUNX) to the planet URANUS, which would incite him to be rude, brash and abrasive.

Bolton's MARS in SAGITTARIUS opposes URANUS, adding an abrupt and aggressive quality.

His MERCURY in SCORPIO squares his PLUTO and is also in difficult aspect to URANUS; he's a smart man but tough talker.

Even if Bush wants someone outspoken to go the U.N. why would he choose Bolton? One answer may be that Bolton's MOON is in the sign of CANCER, the President's SUN sign. Bush has many key people in his administration with significant placements in CANCER. (Examples are Condoleezza Rice with her MOON in CANCER and RUMSFELD with his SUN in CANCER).

If he is approved by the Senate, his tenure is likely to be controversial and turbulent.
