JUDITH MILLER QUITS NEW YORK TIMES
Controversial Reporter in CIA Leak Investigation
This controversial, Pulitzer Prize winning reporter has just
quit her job at The New York Times. She was the only reporter
who chose to go to jail rather than reveal her source in the
CIA leak investigation. . Recognized as an exceptionally able
reporter, she is considered both "famous and infamous"
as a reporter and is well known to have a volcanic personality.
Miller claims she chose jail to protect the First Amendment
rights of journalists. Some NY Times colleagues scoff at that,
suggesting instead that she was grandstanding to advance her
career.
Judith Miller was born on January 2, 1948 in Manhattan, New

unknown). She is a SUN sign CAPRICORN, making her pragmatic
and ambitious. Her MARS in VIRGO indicates a compulsive and
detailed worker. The SUN-MERCURY-MARS pattern gives her real
punch. She is idealistic but vulnerable to self-deception
or deception by others (SUN-MERCURY conjunction square NEPTUNE).
Many indications on her chart describe her complex character
and recent behavior. However, the most glaring and obvious
trigger of her sudden resignation was URANUS (breakdowns,
breakthroughs and breakups) exactly opposing her MARS at 7
degrees VIRGO. URANUS and MARS in hard aspect are an explosive
combination.
Miller is also currently experiencing her "SATURN RETURN".
SATURN has now returned to its original sign of LEO in her
birth chart. Every person experiences a first SATURN RETURN
in their late 20s and a second one in their late 50s. At those
times, individuals re-evaluate their commitments and career
goals. Miller was hired by the New York Times during her first
SATURN RETURN and is now departing The Times during her second
SATURN RETURN.
SATURN is now also exactly triggering a particularly sensitive
area of Miller's chart, her socially conscious VENUS in AQUARIUS.
SATURN'S effect in limiting or blocking that VENUS makes her
feel unappreciated, devalued. While in her birth chart she
has a charming VENUS-NEPTUNE trine, she also has a VENUS-PLUTO
opposition. The latter shows that she is drawn towards danger
and power. However, with her JUPITER in SAGITTARIUS trine
PLUTO, she's good at dealing with power, especially powerful
foreigners.
A recognized expert on the Middle East, she won her Pulitzer
in 2002 for her reporting on global terrorism. However, many
have criticized her as having become" too close to her
sources" and too gullible in relying on Iraqi defectors
whose information later proved to be false. During the Iraq
conflict she was embedded with the U.S. Army. She also served
as a liaison between the U.S. Army and Ahmad Chalabi, now
a contender to become the future President of Iraq.
This woman will stay in the news. She could become a witness
for the prosecution at Libby's trial. She has become a lightning
rod for the credibility of the media at a time when newspapers
are losing readers to TV and the Internet.
Interestingly, she and George W. Bush are connected in a very
special way. Bush's and Miller's Progressed SUN (internal
developing sense of identity)(*note #1)) are at less than
one degree apart, at 10 degrees VIRGO. Neo-con sympathizer
or not (which she has been accused of being), Judith Miller
reacted in as intense a way as George Bush to the attack of
9/11. And however great their differences, whatever astrological
transit or pattern that triggers the chart of one will simultaneously
trigger the chart of the other.
Judith Miller will be a key figure to watch over at least
the next year and probably into 2007. There will be lots more
to say about her.

her Progressed S. NODE at 16 degrees SCORPIO, which is the
degree of MARS in the scary Bush first Inaugural chart as

connections for the Iraq war.
2. Judith's Progressed Moon is now in SCORPIO, but without
a timed chart, it can only be assumed to be somewhere between
8-20 Scorpio.
3. Her natal MOON is in late VIRGO or early LIBRA.

SUN, about three to four years ago, opposed her natal MARS.
