VOLATILE EMOTIONAL UNDERCURRENTS
The Moon’s Motion by Declination
The last
part of 2005 and the year of 2006 will bring some tidings
of good cheer, but major astrological patterns indicate great
struggles. Underlying these stressful patterns is the extreme
motion of the MOON’S declination. A declination refers
to the MOON’S (or a planet’s) apparent oscillation
above and below the Earth’s equator. The monthly MOON
cycle affects all of Nature, describing patterns of beginnings,
growth and decline so that a new cycle can begin.
The MOON
(describing to the public mood) is now swinging monthly from
its highest to its lowest degree (28 degrees) in declination.
This makes emotions more volatile, influencing everything
from daily living to financial markets, political life and
international affairs.
The most
extreme swing of the MOON’S declination occurs every
couple of decades. Most recently, the MOON reached 28 degrees
starting in early 2005 and it will continue through 2006 and
most of 2007. Historic examples include: from March ’86
to April ’88 (think “Crash of ’87”)
and before that, from September ’67 to October ’70
(think Civil Rights) and March ’49 to March ’52
(Korean War).
We must
remember that planetary patterns are the primary descriptors
(or determinants) of lives and events and the MOON’s
extreme declinations only increase emotional reactivity.
