YEARS OF EXTREMISM, 1995 to 2008
Pluto in Sagittarius Transforming Cultures
As astrologers
have been aware, PLUTO has been in the sign of SAGITTARIUS
from 1995 and will remain there until the year 2008. Each
one of our individual lives has been dramatically impacted
by transformative cultural changes. We have questioned our
most basic beliefs in politics, religion, education and our
justice system
The combination
of PLUTO in SAGITTARIUS puts terrible force (PLUTO) behind
moral convictions (SAGITTARIUS). During this period, fanatics
of all stripes have been trying to enforce the supremacy of
different “truths.”
We have
been witnessing an intense “clash of cultures.”
Among many examples are: the attack on the World Trade Center,
the U.S. invasion of Iraq, and the genocide in Rwanda. Within
the United States, we have become demographically and ethnically
re-defined. This culminating period of cultural transformation
continues through 2008.
This
PLUTO transit over the next couple of years is still strongly
connected to the U.S. MARS-NEPTUNE war aspect. After that,
we should understand more about the ramifications of the war
in Iraq. Of course, there always other astrological indicators
to take into account, however PLUTO's forces are the fiercest
of all.
As PLUTO
completes its transit of SAGITTARIUS, can the divisive forces
of our culture grow beyond destructive polarization and evolve
towards a greater consensus for the next political cycle?
Can each of us individually re-create a new life plan and
structure born from the fires of this transformative period?
